Dr. Nikola Konstantinov

Research Area: Machine Learning


Nikola Konstantinov is a postdoc at the ETH AI Center, working under the supervision of Prof. Martin Vechev and Prof. Fanny Yang. His research interests span various foundational and applied aspects of machine learning, including optimization, PAC learning, robustness and fairness. He is a recipient of the 2022 ETH AI Center Postdoctoral Fellowship. His work has been published at top Machine Learning conferences and journals, including NeurIPS, ICML and JMLR. Before ETH, Nikola obtained his PhD at IST Austria in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Lampert. He was also part of the ELLIS PhD Program, through which he visited Prof. Nicolò Cesa-Bianchi at the University of Milan in 2021. Before joining IST Austria, he completed a 4-year master’s degree program in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Oxford.
